The purposes of the conference are:
- To explore the development opportunities for both formal and non-formal education provided by the Tomlinson Working Group on 14 to 19 Reform, Resourcing Excellent Youth Services and work-based learning reforms.
- To explore the impact of accreditation on developing capacity in the workplace.
- To explore the contribution that awards in non-formal education settings and accreditation can make to young people's learning.
- To provide a marketplace for participants to find out about national awards.
Delegates will have the opportunity to opt for the following workshops: accreditation and the curriculum in relation to 14-19 reform, challenging youth service developments, accreditation and distance travelled, the role of non-formal awards in work-based learning, and credit-based accumulation of learning.
