The NYA, as part of the Network for Accrediting Young People's Achievement, is gathering evidence of the benefits awards give to young people's learning through Entry to Employment (e2e). The Tomlinson Report has acknowledged that learning is not just about accumulating qualifications such as GCSEs but is also about the young person developing personally and socially. One useful strand of the report is the notion of replacing the old pass and fail-style exam results with diplomas. Within them, levels of "credit" can be accumulated through doing certain course modules, and other relevant work that will add enough credit for an overall qualification.
