The purpose of the seminars will be to identify good practice and critical success factors in work on antisocial behaviour and community safety for a forthcoming publication.

Over the past year there has been increased government and public focus on antisocial behaviour and community safety, with the attendant media portrayal of yob culture and young people as menacing and often violent. Many agencies that are children and young person centred believe that holistic measures are required in relation to community safety and antisocial behaviour. That is, preventive and educational elements of strategies should be given as much focus and resources as the punitive and control measures.
