The National Youth Agency: Research will explore the delivery of integrated services

1 min read
Vital research to give a clear picture of how integrated youth support services are being delivered across England and highlight common issues is to be carried out by the National Youth Agency (NYA).

The agency will carry out an online survey of all heads of integrated youth support services, or their equivalents. This will be complemented by 12 detailed case studies of a representative sample of local authorities across the country. The research starts this month and will report back later this year.

It has been funded by CfBT Education Trust and is being supported by the Confederation of Heads of Young People's Services.

NYA Officer Jon Adamson, who is leading the research, said: "We know how busy local authorities are at the moment, with heavy workloads and budgetary constraints, but we hope they'll see the long-term value of this research and find time to take part. Ultimately it will benefit not just their organisation but the young people they work with too."
