"We're really pleased with the level of take-up," said NYA research co-ordinator Jon Adamson. "But we would like to see those authorities who haven't yet requested the card take up this free offer."
Feedback on the card has been positive. Steve Power, manager of integrated youth services (IYS) at the London Borough of Havering, said: "It's a good result for my IYS team and great to see the information in one place."
Martin Bell, quality and performance manager at Manchester Youth Service, added: "The card is an invaluable source of information available in one place, which could promote improved partnership working as well as the sharing of good practice. It will prove extremely useful in planning, distribution of funding and commissioning of services."
And the management information and research officer with Cumbria Youth Support Services, said "The new NYA Report Card is clear, easy to understand and well laid out."
The Report Card is a guide that highlights benchmarks for local performance on 25 national indicators that relate directly to young people, summarising information on one side of A4 paper. It tells authorities where performance is good, bad and somewhere in between.
The card is available on request for every local authority. To request a copy contact Jon Adamson on 0116 242 7417 or email jona@nya.org.uk.
