Forum 21 editorial board member Andy Hopkinson, head of publications at The NYA, said: "We hope this journal will contribute to the widening of dialogue and co-operation in youth policy at a European level. Recent developments across Europe are written about in one of three languages - English, French and German. But, for those of you who, like me, aren't as multilingual as our European colleagues, the Council of Europe has kindly agreed to host a web site that will include English translations of all the articles."
Also in the first issue are articles on A new impetus for European youth: a contract for the future - the European White Paper, by European commissioner for education and culture Viviane Reding, and an update on the 6th Conference of European ministers responsible for youth. News and book reviews complete the 128 pages.
