This important role offers the chance to work closely with the NRU to help secure better outcomes for young people and children in neighbourhood renewal areas.
Increasing the awareness, support and capacity of the NRU, Regional Government Offices and other bodies in this area, the successful candidate will foster and develop vital links with other national, regional and professional organisations.
As well as developing partnerships, you will help develop guidance on effective youth engagement for New Deal for Communities and Neighbourhood Management Pathfinders. You will also be involved in helping to develop a national youth conference and regional seminars.
To be successful, you will have an awareness of the role of the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy as well as that of central government in supporting local initiatives. You must have a proven track record in strategic management in the youth service, plus organisational and communication skills.
