The National Youth Agency: More Hear by Right success as Barnetshares its decisions

Barnet is one of the latest local authorities to have registered impressive results using Hear by Right, The NYA's successful standards framework for the active involvement of children and young people.

Children and young people of course have a right to be involved in decisions that affect their lives. As has been seen in Barnet, they also have an enormous amount to contribute to the design and planning of services that impact on them, benefiting not only themselves and their families, but service providers as well.

Barnet Council has stated its commitment to encouraging the participation of young people at all levels and across all services. It has adopted the Hear by Right standards to help achieve this and to measure how well it is succeeding.
