The National Youth Agency: Listings leaflet lends promotional helpto organisations in Awards Network

1 min read

The Network for Accrediting Young People's Achievement was formed in 1998 and comprises a range of national award organisations and accrediting bodies in non-formal education, and The National Youth Agency.

Its remit is to bring together organisations that manage the delivery of national awards programmes in non-formal education settings, together with other agencies that support the work of these organisations, in order to promote the value of awards in contributing to young people's learning and achievement.

The network provides more than 40 Non-formal Education Award schemes, many of which have been mapped against the National Qualifications Framework to provide policymakers, practitioners and young people with a credible comparison between formal and non-formal awards. More than 500,000 young people each year voluntarily engage in the awards programmes run by network members. The delivery of the awards spans formal and non-formal educational settings.
