The project will aim to develop and publish guidance that will bring coherence and consistency to the provision of detached youth work. Outcomes will include setting:
- Minimum standards for resourcing, staffing and managing projects - Minimum standards for training - Benchmarks for recognising achievement and accredited learning - Guidance on involving young people in decision making - Guidance on local structures for reviewing effectiveness and value of detached youth work
The guidance will be prepared through consultation and research in eight partner local authorities.The partner agencies are Camden, Nottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, Tameside, Blackpool, Kent, Sheffield Futures and Worcestershire.
