The National Youth Agency: Event looks at engaging hard to reach groups

The National Youth Agency's chief executive Fiona Blacke is chairing a one-day conference on empowering hard-to-reach groups to participate in two-way communication and decision making.

The event takes place in Earls Court on 14 May.

Minister for Children, Young People and Families Beverley Hughes MP will also give a keynote speech setting out the government's vision for engaging hard-to-reach young people in today's youth services. The event will discuss eight hard-to-reach groups - including young offenders, ethnic minority groups, young people with disabilities, young people being bullied and care leavers - and eight approaches to working with them - including detached youth work, creative arts, youth involvement and counselling.
