The National Youth Agency: Empowerment - Recognising and celebrating Act by Right achievements of young

1 min read
Gloucestershire Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership has held an event to celebrate the achievements of young people and recognise their contribution to the work of the trust.

Forty-two young people received their Asdan Level 1 Certificate for completing the Act by Right training course. The young people aged between 10 and 18, and representing a number of projects from across the county, have contributed 2,520 voluntary hours to benefit their communities.

The event was attended by members of The National Youth Agency participation team who have been supporting the work as part of the Department for Children, Schools and Families-funded children's trust project designed to improve participation outcomes for children and young people through the implementation of Hear by Right. The young person's Hear by Right stakeholder group used the event to launch a DVD that they wrote and performed to explain Hear by Right to other young people. The DVD, Our Voice Our Vision will be available in the autumn. The stakeholder group has also been trained to deliver Act by Right training across organisations in the Partnership, including schools and the PCT.
