The Federation believes that it is absolutely essential that the green paper, as well as children and young people's trusts, recognise the crucial role that detached youth work has to play in the learning and development of young people on their own territory as well as ensuring that their voice is heard in the development of future strategies. The conference will be addressed by leading youth work academics, managers and practitioners and the emphasis of the day will be on thinking, analysis and dialogue on matters arising from the green paper.
The conference will be held at the Athena Conference Centre in Leicester on Tuesday 12 April between 10.30am and 4.00pm. For more information or to book a place, contact Sheetal Sevak, administrator for the Federation for Detached Youth Work, on 0116 242 7490. Email: sheetals@nya.org.uk.
