The National Youth Agency: Chair of NYA tells Scouts - 'Your voicescan make a difference'

Helping to celebrate 100 years of the Scouting movement, Bishop Roger - who became a Queen's Scout in Coronation year 1953, thereby making him one of the first Queen's Scouts - recalled the roles that young people, including Scouts, are taking in campaigning for environmental change and an end to poverty.

He said: "Their voices make a difference. I know these are campaigns Scouts across the Commonwealth are supporting and many know at first hand the horrific implications for children and young people of poverty. Justice and poverty were big issues for the biblical prophets and they are big issues for our young prophets today."
