The National Youth Agency: New NYA publication aims to increaseinter-faith dialogue and understanding

1 min read

A sense of respect: inter-faith activities for groups of young people comprises a series of activities written in response to young people asking what they can do to understand people of different and no faiths.

Authors Maxine Green and Carmel Heaney said: "Through consultations we discovered young people who wanted to know more about other faiths - not in a dry way - but in a very real manner. We realised that people wanted to deepen their understanding and come to 'know' the experience of living in and with a different faith.

"The increased understanding this can lead to has the potential to bring communities closer together and foster respect and cohesion, replacing a lack of trust and understanding."
