The National Youth Agency: Agency at youth knowledge workshops

The National Youth Agency ran sessions on the big society and citizenship at four Centre for Excellence and Outcomes (C4EO) Youth Knowledge Workshops earlier this month.

The agency has also produced for C4EO a research review exploring what works in relation to increasing the engagement of young people in positive activities.

The training events provided an opportunity to review the evidence from this research review, and two other reviews looking at delivering better outcomes by increasing the impact of targeted youth support and supporting young people to make healthy lifestyle choices by reducing their alcohol consumption.

Sue Quinn, C4EO theme lead at the NYA, said: "During these times of significant change, with increased pressure to achieve better outcomes with reduced resources, the need for reliable evidence of 'what works' has never been more crucial."
