Grants to help children in the Newcastle area who are facing challenges including weight problems and disability.

What is it? Newcastle-based charity The Children’s Foundation has a regional small grants panel that meets three times a year to award grants to community projects in line with its aim to keep children in the region healthy, happy, and safe.

Grants are awarded to projects that complement and enhance the work of the Children’s Foundation, focusing on challenges that face children in the region including mental health, disability, child safety, exercise and obesity. Other innovative projects may be considered but they must demonstrate clear and tangible benefits to the health of children.

How much is on offer? £10,000 is on offer in each grant round although £1,000 is the maximum that can be awarded to one project.
