Teens challenge misconceptions

Teenagers from 20 schools and colleges in the city quizzed the general public about misconceptions about young people, created a short film, carried out random acts of kindness such as carrying shopping and told the public how they help in their communities.

The Ultimate Challenge was organised by charity Envision and funded through The Co-operative's Truth about Youth campaign.

Waqer Hussain, 17, from Small Heath School and Sixth Form Centre, said: "I think we spoke to about 70 to 80 people. My message is: 'Give youth a chance and we'll prove you wrong'."
