When a leaflet offering children's activity holidays for 25 a week dropped through Angela McNicholas's letterbox, she wasn't going to let the opportunity pass. Her twin boys Phillip and Joseph, like many 13-year-olds growing up in urban Lancashire, didn't get many opportunities to explore the great outdoors.
"We went canoeing, kayaking, sailing, everything," says Phillip, with an excitement that remains barely concealed a year later. "It was the first time I had done anything like it. The instructors were friendly and explained everything. I hope I can go again this year." "They still talk about it," adds Angela. "And it was organised properly, from the moment they were picked up at the train station."
