SPORT: London Youth holds 100th boxing finals

James Degale from Dale won the prize for most entertaining fighter, in the under-75kg category; his opponent, Luke Veness from Repton, was best losing finalist. Nobby Cain from Dale won the prize for best boxing stylist on the night.

Richard Sermon, chairman of London Youth, said: "Boxing encourages self-discipline, respect for oneself and for others and teaches true sportsmanship. Those qualities were all on display tonight."

All proceeds from the finals went towards London Youth's My Future appeal, which aims to raise 3m in services and support for the federation's 500 youth clubs in London, which serve more than 80,000 young people.
