The work is to start at the end of April and could take until September 2004 to complete. It will include a Saturday morning youth football programme, a Street Football League for homeless people and community football schemes run by Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers.
A Football Foundation spokesman said recent media stories that the Football Association was considering reducing its support for the foundation were unfounded.
