Sport: Charity anger at disability report

The report, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games: A sporting legacy for people with disabilities, claims that disabled young people's hopes of competing at the 2012 London Paralympics are being jeopardised by poor facilities.

But Jill Cochrane, director of communications at Whizz-Kidz, said: "If we are developing a network of sporting facilities around the country why would we want to cut off ones that aren't doing it very well?"

Dee Doocey, chair of the assembly's Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee, said: "Potential paralympians are missing out because the system is not geared towards them."
