DISABILITY: Whizz-Kidz wins Comic Relief cash

The Kidz Board will play an active part in helping Whizz-Kidz influence the Government to improve provision of mobility equipment to all disabled children and young people. It will also campaign to raise public awareness.

The board is planning four regional conferences, called Whizz-Kidz Break Down Barriers. They will cover independent mobility with a local focus, and the first will take place on 28 April in Guildford, Surrey.

Jennie Elliott, 16, chair of the board, said: "Young disabled people will be given a louder voice in their communities."
