Sport: Campaign will improve access to sports activities

1 min read

The Youth Active B Active campaign, which will run for at least two years, is run by Youth Active, a consortium of youth organisations led by the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services. It will be funded by Sport England.

The first phase, which will run until February, consists of nine roadshows around England, providing eight- to 25-year-olds with free taster sessions of the sports and other activities available in their area, led by sporting champions and local coaches.

Local organisations will be given a chance to showcase activities and hear from young people which activities interest them most. Roadshows have already been held in Bury, Greater Manchester, and Dorking, Surrey.
