What is the new school like? The new school will cater for 720 children. Classrooms are equipped with cutting-edge technology. The school also has several flexible internal and external learning spaces.
Anything else? Schools minister Vernon Coaker visited the school for a guided tour last month. He says: "I'm pleased that the local community, staff and children at Southwark Primary School will soon be able to enjoy their new school and I wish them all the best."
What do the staff think? Michaela Saunders, head teacher at the school, adds: "Staff and pupils have been working with designers to develop a school that will provide children with high-quality learning environments for now and for generations to come."
