Social Care News: Scotland - Children in care central to review

The views of children and young people using care services will be central to a review of how the Care Commission in Scotland monitors care.

Ronnie Hill, the newly appointed director of children's services regulation at the commission, said: "We want children and young people to tell us how they think we are doing so we can make things better."

Linking into web sites visited by young people who use care services is one way Hill hopes to elicit views.

The commission is also working in partnership with Who Cares? Scotland and various umbrella children's organisations.
