Social Care News: Participation - Children nominate staff for awards

More than 750 young people in care have nominated adults they think should be recognised for their work with them.

The Believe in Me awards have been organised by the Who Cares? Trust in response to recommendations made in the green paper Every Child Matters.

Susanna Cheal, chief executive of the trust, said: "It's an excellent response, we are delighted. The young people have put a lot of thought into the nominations and it's good to hear them speaking about what matters to them." The winners will be announced on 16 March.
