Haslam House replaces an old children's home built in the 1970s that wasdemolished last year. Children in care in Harrow gave their suggestionsfor the new home, which include en suite showers, private areas forphone calls and family visits (Children Now, 4-10 May 2005).
The new home will have seven en suite rooms, including one for a childwith mobility difficulties, quiet areas, a study and IT area and 24-hoursupport. It is expected to open by January 2007.
