Young people living at Haslam House in Harrow have played an integral part in plans for a new home to be built on the site of the outdated facility.
They have been involved in detailed talks with the architects and had a say on almost every aspect of the project.
The new home, which will have six or seven places, will also have a games room, barbecue, IT links and a bigger dining area.
