Social Care News: Help from... Tacade

Tacade is a charity that works with children and young people, particularly those at risk, in areas such as personal, social, health and citizenship education.

It also works directly with professionals, including teachers and Connexions advisers, training them on alcohol, sex and drugs education.

One of its major projects is helping secondary schools develop peer projects focusing on alcohol education.

The charity produces publications and many of these are aimed at children as young as five. It also produces education resources for professionals in settings including pupil referral units and prisons.

Tacade works outside the UK too, offering consultancy services to organisations including Unicef.
