Help from ... The Mental Health Foundation

This is an independent development agency that works in the areas of mental health and learning disability.

One of its main lines of work is in children's mental health, where it has carried out several major inquiries, including an ongoing one into young people and self harm.

The foundation has produced resource packs for promoting mental health among education staff, and reports on subjects such as early intervention.

Its web site provides links to publications relating to children's mental health and to events and training on mental health. The site also hosts forums, a bulletin board on children's mental health, and personal stories from people who have suffered mental health problems.

The foundation also runs online conferences and plans to launch a new consultancy service.
