The Sex Education Forum, which is affiliated to the National Children's Bureau, is a collaboration of more than 50 organisations that aims to ensure all children and young people receive good quality education in sex and relationships.
It offers advice to teachers, health professionals and social workers and provides support publications and factsheets. The forum also runs a telephone information line and an email inquiry service.
Although it does not run courses itself, many of its member organisations, including fpa (formerly the Family Planning Association), do.
As well as providing information on how to deliver sex education, the forum can also offer advice on issues such as confidentiality and the Sexual Offences Act.
