Merton council is targeting tube and tram travellers in its latestcampaign to recruit more foster carers and adoptive parents for itslooked-after children.
"It's costing us over 3,000," said Candice Harper, publicity andinformation officer for Merton's fostering and adoption team. Theposters will all feature the council's new adoption and fosteringfreephone information number and will run from 12 September to 9 Octoberon the Northern Line, and between 10 October and 6 November on theCroydon tram network.
Harper added that although Merton would be willing to be involved in apan-London initiative to recruit more carers, this wasn't on the cardsjust yet.
