"When I grew up I was very bad and difficult. My first foster mum couldn't handle me and I had to go into a children's home," says 19-year-old Junior Saunders, who's been in care since he was six-weeks- old. Luckily for Junior, he went on to find a foster family that was right for him and he's now a part-time reporter for BBC Points West in Bristol. He also recently made it to the final two for the next Blue Peter presenter. "Now I want to be an active role model for all kids in care. My mum turned me around. It was her love and readiness to accept me into the family as a child, not a foster child, that made the difference," he explains.
