Social Care News: Children's Services - Morale boosted as Lambeth improves

Morale among Lambeth's children's services staff has been boosted by initiatives including training to promote the career development of Black staff, inspectors have found.

The south London council has made significant improvements to its children's services, says a report by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.

For the last two years the commission has rated its capacity for improving children's services as uncertain and awarded the council one star in its annual performance ratings, but prospects for improvement are now rated as promising.
