The passports, which usually cost £10 a year, allow playworkers to keep an online record of their training and skills that can be verified by employers.
Members of the Community and Youth Workers' Union will be offered 70 one-year passports, and 40 five-year passports can be claimed by playerworkers across the UK. The scheme is being funded by the Association of Playworkers.
Paul Bonel, playwork director at SkillsActive, said: "We see it as the first step in establishing a professional register and a licence to practice for playworkers."
