Scottish centre for nursery group

Early Years
The National Day Nurseries Association has opened a base in Scotland.

A development officer has also been appointed to increase the amount of work the charity undertakes in the country.

Jane Logie will create networks so Scottish nurseries can share good practice, information and support. She will also work to highlight the role of private and voluntary sector nurseries in providing early years services.

Purnima Tanuku, chief executive of the association, said: "We are delighted at the further support we will be able to offer members. This is a great development for us and just the beginning."

The charity already has a development officer in Wales.
