The health initiatives are among the tough policies passed by theparty's annual conference last week. Delegates backed raising the agefor buying cigarettes from 16 to 18 and banning supermarkets fromselling alcohol for less than it was bought for.
The party also voted in favour of removing all alcohol branding fromproducts sold to under-18s, which means that many football and rugbystrips would have to be altered if they were sold to children.
Stewart Maxwell MSP, the party's culture spokesman, said an SNP-runScottish Executive would take action against supermarkets if necessary."If they do not sign up, we would be happy to use the big stick," hesaid.
