Scotland: Sector demands 31m package

The Scottish youth work sector has sent the Scottish Government a request for a three-year package of improvements, costing 31m in the first year.

The programme, submitted by YouthLink Scotland, includes requests for sustainable core funding for the voluntary and statutory sector, and investment in youth work in schools, volunteer development and outreach and detached work.

The document also requests funding for a Scottish Youth Work Week, increases in international work and additional money to ensure child protection and equality policies are in place.
