The youth organisation is calling for an amendment to the Scottish commissioner for human rights bill outlining the new role in promoting young people's rights, to avoid duplication with the proposed new human rights commissioner, who would serve all age groups.
"Young people need clarity," said YouthLink's head of development, Margaret McLeod.
Scotland's commissioner for children and young people is asking organisations to help decide policy priorities for the next two years, from the themes promoting proportionate protection, improving family support and promoting social inclusion.
