The organisation has asked for an amendment to the wording of the protection of children and prevention of sexual offences (Scotland) bill to enable the names of those receiving risk of sexual harm orders (RSHOs) to be recorded on the Disqualified from Working with Children List. This was created under the Protection of Children (Scotland) Act.
Robert McGeachy, senior policy and parliamentary officer at YouthLink, said: "This could create a loophole - a person could have an RSHO made against them and not be added to the list."
Scotland's Justice 1 Committee considered the amendment, which was tabled on YouthLink's behalf by MSP Stewart Stevenson, on 27 April. Henry said he welcomed YouthLink's input and will consider it in time for stage 3 - the third reading of the bill - expected in early June.
