Scope launches family-based care

Social Care
Disability charity Scope is launching a fostering service offering long- and short-term family-based placements for disabled children in East Anglia.

The service is for disabled children up to the age of 18 in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Shathy Bano, Scope's fostering service manager, said: "The primary aim of the fostering service is to provide disabled children and young people with the same opportunities in life as their non-disabled peers."

If the service proves a success, Scope intends to introduce it across England.

To find out more about the fostering service, contact Shathy Bano by email at fostering@scope.org.uk or on 01763 268 000.
