Part of this investment was a commitment by the government to gather together all available materials on best practice in play. It could then publish all the information in one place, making it accessible for governors and head teachers to use.
These materials have now been collated as one document and views are being sought on the format, layout and content of the document. It contains information on best practice case studies, websites, publications and articles, which can be used by schools to effectively develop their play facilities.
It can be downloaded from the Department for Children, Schools and Families' e-consultation website. The results of the consultation will then be published online in the summer.
