A global children's charity

What is Save the Children?

Save the Children is a global charity focusing on the millions of children still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. As well as campaigning for change in countries around the world, it mounts emergency aid programmes after catastrophes. In the UK, it has been instrumental in campaigning against child poverty.

- Who works for it?

About 4,500 people from 52 countries around the world. The teams have experience in policy, international programmes, finance, campaigning, fundraising and HR.

- Are there opportunities to work abroad?

The majority of staff work in their own countries, but there are also opportunities to work with programmes around the world, whether that's visits, secondments, shadowing, or longer contracts. Details of both jobs in the UK and around the world are on the website www.savethechildren.org.uk.
