The charity takes referrals from agencies including social services, women's aid, probation and housing departments, and tries to resettle families in their local area or allow them to make a fresh start. At any one time, Save the Family can provide accommodation for up to 30 homeless families.
The Save the Family Centre, based in Flintshire, North Wales, provides training for parents and children to help re-establish them in the community.
Adults are offered training in parenting, literacy and numeracy, IT skills and budgeting.
Save the Family tries to get all children back into school to avoid further exclusion and runs toddler and nursery classes.
