Salmon Youth Centre unveiling

Youth Work
Youth minister Beverley Hughes was on hand to witness the unveiling of a 10m redevelopment of the Salmon Youth Centre in London last week.

The Bermondsey centre, which replaces three old buildings described as a "rabbit warren", will enable the group to continue to offer sports, arts and other activities, including a climbing wall.

The centre's executive director Mark Blundell said: "We are now able to offer a huge range of exciting opportunities."

The money was raised through fundraising by the centre with help from sports initiative Active England.
