The network, which provides support services for youth organisations in rural areas, is largely reliant on funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
The organisation's annual report showed it had an income of £91,000 last year, of which nearly £78,000 came from grants. Most of these grants came from the DCSF.
Bill Niblo, treasurer of the Rural Youth Network, said: "As things stand, we only have three months' funding left. We know we can keep going a while longer but not indefinitely. But we are confident that we will get funding from the DCSF."
The financial uncertainties have already forced the network to put on hold its search for a chief executive to replace Angela Harrison who left last summer.
