Rural Youth Network to continue with Connexions support

Youth Work
The Rural Youth Network is to resume membership services in September after securing support from the national Connexions body.

Funding for the Rural Youth Network ran out in March, after it failed to secure cash from the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

A Rural Youth Network spokeswoman said: "We are pleased to announce that the National Connexions Network has agreed to provide admin support to the Rural Youth Network to enable membership services to resume in September 2009."

From September, the National Connexions Network will produce a monthly e-news letter for the Rural Youth Network, maintain its membership database, update its website and respond to email and website enquiries.
