National Youth Agency: Rural Youth Network looking for trustees

1 min read
Rural Youth Network is seeking people with skills and experience to serve as trustees on its executive management committee.

Rural Youth Network (RYN) is a small, friendly registered charity that has existed for more than 20 years to promote the inclusion of young people in rural areas. It offers expertise in specialist support and information around work with children and young people in rural areas of England, bringing together a diverse membership representing both the voluntary and statutory sectors who are engaged in work with young people as well as rural development.

RYN currently holds four management meetings each year and management committee members are expected to attend the Annual General Meeting. There is also opportunity for involvement in other groups.

On the basis of a recent skills audit, RYN would welcome people with skills, knowledge or experience in the following areas:

- Audit and financial matters

- Fundraising, PR and marketing

- Implementation of Every Child Matters in a rural context

- Working knowledge of integrated youth support services in a rural area

Applications from people with other skills, knowledge or experience are also encouraged.

For further information about the role, or for a trustee application pack, please email Sarah Hope at: ruralyouth@nya.org.uk.
