A month ago, a judge delayed sentencing on condition that he went into rehab. Do young people think Doherty received special treatment because he is famous?
The same judge has now delayed sentencing again to assess Doherty's "motivation". She said that she will not fine him. He will get either a prison sentence or a community order. Which do young people think is most appropriate? Which is most likely?
Doherty's fans say the charges related to small amounts of illegal drugs, that he had been working extremely hard on his new album when he was arrested and had a difficulty in his personal life. If young people were the judge, would any of this make a difference to their sentencing?
